Frequently Asked Questions

  • We are a non-profit recycling organization that puts underutilized resources back into their value. We believe that environmental protection is not just a responsibility, but a way of life. We proactively reach out to housing estates, schools, and various community locations to bring "recycling," "sharing old items," and "environmental education" to everyone, working together to practice the 3R principle: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.

  • We regularly set up mobile recycling points in housing estates and communities to provide recycling services to residents, helping them to correctly sort recyclables. We also provide a second-hand platform for residents to donate their unwanted items for those in need, making good use of resources. In addition, we regularly hold recycling workshops to educate and increase public awareness of environmental protection.

    • This includes clothing, handbags, backpacks, accessories (such as scarves), metals (such as soda cans, vegetable bowls, mooncake jars, shelves, pump heads, motors), small electrical appliances, plastics, foam, paper beverage boxes, paper, glass, rechargeable battery cells, plush toys, etc.

    • The types of recyclable materials accepted are diverse and cannot be listed exhaustively. Please feel free to inquire for more information.

    • Once the recyclables are cleaned, they can all be placed into the recycling basket for recycling.

    • We do not handle medical waste, such as equipment that has come into contact with human blood or tissue.

    • We do not offer door-to-door recycling services for household appliances. Therefore, for heavier electrical appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines, we recommend calling the government's Regulated Electrical Equipment (REE) recycling hotline at 2676-8888 to arrange free door-to-door recycling.

    • We recycle a wide variety of items; please inquire.

    • We reserve the final right to decide whether or not to accept the recycled item.

    • All collected materials will be carefully sorted, properly stored and processed. They will be sent to government-approved downstream recyclers for recycling to ensure nothing is end up in landfill.

    • When the mobile recycling truck holds recycling days in the housing estate, a "free second-hand clothing collection area" will be set up at the same time. Second-hand clothing that has been screened and cleaned will be available for residents to take freely on site, thereby promoting a culture of reuse and extending the life of clothing.

    • In addition, we will also donate suitable clothing to low-income families through the following channels:

    1. In partnership with other social welfare organizations, we regularly donate secondhand clothing to families in need.

    2. Some of the clothing items, after being sorted, will be sent to the "Green@Community" secondhand club for the public to choose from free of charge.

    3. Some used clothing that is not suitable for local donation or reuse (such as worn-out, out-of-season, or specific fabrics) is exported to Southeast Asia for reuse or recycling.

    • All proceeds will be used to cover operating costs, expand recycling services, give back to the Hong Kong community, support staff training and community education, and enable us to hold more event in more housing estates, making it easier for more citizens to participate in recycling.

  • Participating in recycling is actually very simple; you can start with everyday life, for example:

    1. Reduce the use of disposable products

    2. Avoid buying products in excessive packaging.

    3. "Buy what you need first" avoids purchasing unnecessary products and reduces waste.

    4. Clean and sort recyclable materials

    5. Participate in community cleaning activities

    6. Donate usable items

    7. Share your recycling experience with family and friends to promote environmental awareness.

  • We welcome to jointly organize recycling-related activities, such as recycling days and workshops, to promote community environmental awareness, cultivate waste reduction and recycling habits at the source , support community sustainable development, connect neighbors, and jointly create a green living environment.
